Tell MPs to support LGBTIQ reforms

South Australian MPs are not currently considering LGBTIQ reforms, but check this page again for more information on future LGBTIQ reforms.

write a letter to A mlC

We know that the best way to make change is to share our personal stories with MLCs.

It might seem old-fashioned, but hand-writing a personal letter to a MLC can go a long way to them understanding your situation and asking them to meet with you face-to-face.

Explain how long you've been with your partner, what it feels like to experience discrimination and what it would mean if you were treated equally under the law.

Find the contact details for MLCs here.

These LGBTIQ reforms have been brought to light following the tragic death of David Bulmer-Rizzi on his honeymoon with his husband Marco in South Australia.

Marco's story was powerful. South Australians supported him, and MLCs listened.

MLCs want to hear and understand your story. You might want to explain what it means to be transgender or intersex, or send a photo of you and your partner or your rainbow family - but tell them who you are and why this matters to you.
