The South Australian Law Reform Institute has conducted a thorough review of how laws and regulations which discriminate against people because of their sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or intersex status.
There are reports on:

- Legal recognition of sex and gender (e.g. changing a sex marker on a birth certificate)
- Equal recognition of rainbow couples & families
- Anti-discrimination protections for LGBTIQ people
